The protected areas of the Natura 2000 network in Greece amount to 446, covering an area of 58,773.25 sq. km.

We searched to find out how many of the 9,170 beaches, part of which are granted to private individuals, belong to the Natura 2000 network.

We identified 1,918 leases on beaches that fall within the network.

On these beaches, the placement of umbrella seats is prohibited from exceeding 30% of the area granted.
